Business Blockchain course

Terms and Conditions         4th of December 2020

These terms and conditions relate to the sale of the online Business Blockchain course (BB) by Jump Digital Ltd. (us, we, our) to you.

Date of commencement of contract

This contract between us shall commence following receipt of your payment of the agreed fee, and an email from us to you containing your course log-in instructions.

Access to Course Online Learning Material

Following payment of the agreed fee, and issue of your log-in instructions, you will have access to the course materials for a period of 90 days from the date of ‘first course access’*. (hereinafter referred to as the ‘access period’)

*‘First course access’ is the day on which you first log into the course materials

The course is designed to be worked through in a sequential order.

Once you reach the end of the course, the system will invite you to apply for your Edinburgh Business School: Certificate of Completion (application must be made within the ‘access period’).

Should you require (for whatever reason) an extension to the ‘access period’, then please contact us (details below) and we shall consider your request. (Note: this may incur a charge dependent on the length of the period of extension which will be fully agreed with you before proceeding).

After you have applied for, and received, your Certificate of Completion, you will have access to the course for any remaining balance of the ‘access period’.

Right to Cancel

If you are a consumer (as defined in the Consumer Rights Act 2015) and, after purchase, you change your mind about the course you have purchased online, you may cancel it within 14 days of contract commencement and receive a refund proportionate to your progress through the course materials.

Should you wish to receive a refund you must contact us (see below) within 14 days of the contract commencement.

Delivery of Course Materials

  • If purchasing the course online by Credit Card, PayPal or similar

On acceptance of your payment you will be emailed a receipt from the payment gateway providers (e.g. PayPal) and a separate email from us with a username and password which will provide you with access to the course. This procedure is automated and, typically, emails will be received within a few minutes of your payment being accepted.

If, after checking in your junk/spam folder, you do not receive these emails then please contact us and we shall get matters resolved as soon as possible.

  • If you contact us to arrange payment and access to the course in any other way (e.g. by initially contacting us by email or by online contact form)

We shall correspond directly with you to explain the steps in the purchase process.

Provision of Service

We will use all reasonable efforts to ensure that course materials are available and accessible however there may be times when technical hardware and/or software issues temporarily disrupt service and we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

It is important that you contact us with any accessibility issues as and when they arise and if we are aware of prolonged site wide service issues we shall (when technically feasible) contact you by email to that effect.

In the unlikely event of an inability to access the BB course for more than 2 days during the relevant ‘access period’ then you can request an equivalent extension to your ‘access period’ (assuming that the inability to access is not as a result of a failure of technology or software on your part)

Technology and system access

Equipment required, and internet access costs, are not included in the fees.

The minimum equipment requirements are noted here https://www.docebo.com/online-training-lms-system-requirements

Intellectual Property

We own all intellectual property rights in the course materials. Where references are made to external reading, reference materials and tools etc. (over which we do not have intellectual property rights) they are clearly designated.

By purchasing access to the course you are granted a non-transferrable, non-exclusive, license to use the course materials, in a personal capacity, during the ‘access period’.

By accepting these terms and conditions you are agreeing not to copy, make available, retransmit, reproduce, sell, license, distribute, publish, broadcast or otherwise circulate the course materials.

PLEASE NOTE: Access to the course by way of your username and password is for your personal use only.

Course Materials

When preparing course materials, we inevitably include a mix of fact and opinion. We may, from time to time, update course materials and external references.

Limitation of Liability

  • Suitability

We encourage you to carefully consider the course description and supporting materials on this website before making a purchase decision because you are ultimately responsible for making the decision as to course suitability for your needs. If you would like some help and guidance before making a decision, then please contact us and we shall be delighted to help you as much as we can.

  • Loss

Except in the case of liability for death, personal injury, or otherwise provided for in law, our  liability for loss; actual or perceived; direct; indirect or consequential; arising from negligence or failure to deliver the course as specified, shall be limited to the amount you have paid in fees for the course.
